Nous partons pour Monument Valley à 08h45, et arrivons à 09h30... mais les réserves Navajo ont une heure de décalage avec le reste de l’Arizona, il est donc 08h30! Lever 8h. Comme la veille, nous déjeunons au Love Muffin Cafe, puis partons pour Canyonlands Nord, aussi appelé Island in the Sky (île dans le ciel). Cette partie du parc est en fait un plateau surplombant les canyons, relié à la terre ferme par une unique route vouée à s’écrouler un jour. Elle est splendide. Voir cette arche de près reste un des moments forts du séjour!
